Words can move us to tears. They can move us to joy. They can take us to faraway places, or around the block. They can make us see something that may have happened a thousand years ago, or that may not happen until a thousand years from now. They can make us touch. They can make us hear. They can make us smell. And they can make us feel.
Words can make us take a trip, or purchase a product, or vote for a candidate. They can make us a cowboy, or a princess, or an astronaut, or a teacher. They can reach inside our souls, and reveal things that we ourselves may never have known were there.
Words can move mountains, and can open up new worlds. And I believe that the power of words is one of the strongest we possess.
